MIGRATE

“MIGRATE” , Installation: curtains, wood and led, 2019

CURATED BY: ELISE LAMMER & PETRIT HALILAJ “MIGRATE” — is an installation where one can experience migration. This experience is more of a reflection than an invitation. The immigrant has so many questions and uncertainties that finding the door of salvation seems like searching for light at the deepest of darkness. Complete darkness which is created by the curtains.

This country needs to be liberated and built, its people need to rise on the level of other peoples, and for that we need a war that its sons and daughters must wage. If the latter choose to emigrate, things in this country will get even worse. So, through these photographs, I want to present the work I did for my first exhibition, which was a group exhibition. But... you have to go through it to fully comprehend the work. You cannot emigrate from being human.
