MIGRATE

Both in terms of addressing a certain reality, as well as in terms of realization, the work of art ‘Migrate’ touches the heart of time. People migrate, hide, flee, want to return, can not, people live and die today – migration. Migration is the line of infusion that keeps us alive or the last breath that we take. Migration comes with its ambiguities and anxiety, desirable or quite obscure. Exactly this anxious path of waiting and pilgrimage is presented and tackled by Arianit Beqiri with his art. So, the work is not only characterized by its selection, but also its presentation is done so with perfection.

Arianit as an arist reminds us that we all escape in some way. We can migrate and not distinguish this act because virtual migration does not allow us. We are on social media and we do not feel the distance, until it hits us. We can escape behind technology and anything that makes us hide from face-to-face confrontation with reality. We may love loneliness or not tolerate it. None of this is left outside of Arianit Beqiri’s work. That makes the work of art.
